When the Jewish Community Center’s Summer Used Book Sale kicks off Sunday, Aug. 22, it will do so with certain COVID protocols to make sure the shopping experience is as safe as possible. Entry to the sale, which runs through Thursday, Aug. 26, will require:

• Proof of vaccination (both shots of the Moderna/Pfizer vaccines or the one shot of the Johnson & Johnson vaccine) or a negative COVID-19 test result within 48 hours of entry

• Vaccination card or screenshot accepted, plus photo ID.

• Masks must be worn at all times while inside the J’s Arts & Education building (for both vaccinated and unvaccinated guests)

Thousands of books will be available for sale as the Annual J Used Book Sale returns into the J’s Arts and Education Building on the Millstone campus. Stock up on your winter reading material. Proceeds from the sale benefit the Cultural Arts Department.
Thousands of titles include mystery and intrigue, novels, biographies, politics, religion, sports, cookbooks, history, animals, art, science, science fiction, business, women’s issues, foreign languages, gardening, poetry, psychology, self-help, humor…the list goes on.
Parents and educators will find a large selection of books for children and youth as well as educational materials for homeschoolers. Multiples of titles are available for book club reading along with miscellaneous videos, books on tape/CDs and DVDs.

Admission to the Used Book Sale and its hours are $10 on Sunday, Aug. 22 (Preview Day) from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.; free Monday-Wednesday, Aug. 23-25 from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. and $5 to fill a bag with books on Thursday, from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.
