JProStl announces 2010 honorees; luncheon planned

Craig Neuman, president of JProStl, the professional association for staff who work at Jewish organizations in St. Louis, has announced the 2010 honorees from across the St. Louis Jewish community.  They include:

• Visionary – Jean Cavender  (Holocaust Museum and Learning Center)

• Career Achievement – Lou Albert (JF&CS)

• Chesed/Kindness – Marci Diamond (Congregation Shaare Emeth)

• Dedication – Ron Douglas (Crown Center for Senior Living)

• Emerging Leader – Mike Sherwin (Jewish Light)

• Educator – Cantor Ron Eichaker  (United Hebrew) and Rabbi Shmuel Greenwald  (Aish HaTorah)

• Mentor – Beth Brown – (Torah Prep)

• Pillar – Joey Boime – (JCC)

The honorees will be recognized at the 6th Annual JProStl Luncheon from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 27 at the JCC Staenberg Family Complex. Co-chairs are Nikki Goldstein and Phil Ruben.  The luncheon is free of charge for staff who work at Jewish organizations and $20 for guests.

JProStl is an association dedicated to supporting professionals working at Jewish organizations in St. Louis.  Its mission is to provide training, resources, and networking opportunities in order to strengthen staff members, their organizations, and the community as a whole.  All JProStl programs are generously supported by the Lubin-Green Foundation, a supporting foundation of the Jewish Federation of St. Louis.  JProStl is affiliated with the new I.E. Millstone Institute for Jewish Leadership, a community-wide endeavor to engage, develop and inspire leadership throughout the St. Louis Jewish community.
