JOLT starts second trimester Nov. 12

Jewish Opportunities & Learning for Teens (JOLT) has announced its course description for Trimester 2 of classes for Jewish teens. The second trimester begins on Nov. 12 and is open to all St. Louis Jewish teens in grades 8-12. Class offerings include conversational Hebrew, contemporary Jewish news, Jewish text study with community rabbis, social action projects, how TV shaped Jewish identity, Israel through cinema, Jews and the mafia and “Strong Girls, Healthy Relationships.” 

Designed for 8th – 9th grade girls, this interactive class will explore empowerment and self-esteem in healthy relationships.

 All classes take place on Thursday evenings at Congregation B’nai Amoona, 324 S. Mason Road, 63141. Second Trimester dates are as follows: Nov. 12, 19; Dec. 3, 10; Jan, 7, 14, 21 and 28. Tuition for the trimester is $140.  JOLT also offers a dinner option from 6:00 pm–6:30 pm.
