JGrads welcomes Ambassador Eizenstat for Mideast talk

Ambassador Stuart Eizenstat will speak at Washington University School of Law on “The Arab Revolutions and Their Implications for U.S. Policy and the Middle East.”
During a decade and a half of public service in three U.S. administrations, Eizenstat has held a number of key senior positions, including chief White House domestic policy adviser to President Jimmy Carter (1977-1981); U.S. Ambassador to the European Union and Deputy Secretary of the Treasury in the Clinton Administration (1993-2001).
Following his address, Eizenstat will then deliver the 2011 Holocaust Remembrance Day Mini-Lecture, “Restitution for Holocaust Victims: A Study in Alternative Dispute Resolution.” He will draw on his experiences in the Clinton Administration as Special Representative of the President and Secretary of State on Holocaust-Era Issues.
The events are sponsored by the Burson Fund, in coordination with the Washington University Jewish Law Society and JGrads: The Jewish Graduate Student Association of St. Louis. Both events are free and open to the public, and will begin at noon Thursday, April 7 in the Bryan Cave Moot Courtroom at Washington University’s School of Law (Anheuser-Busch Hall, Room 310).
