JF&CS receives NAP grant to benefit Homemaker Program

The Jewish Family & Children’s Service (JF&CS) announced it was recently awarded $60,000 in state tax credits from the Neighborhood Assistance Program (NAP). The agency notes that State Sen. Jane Cunningham (R-Chesterfield), was instrumental in securing these credits.
The credits will support the organization’s In-Home/Homemaker Program, which provides light housekeeping, personal care, transportation and meal preparation to adults with special needs in an effort to enable them to stay in their own homes.
“Without this money, I am not sure how we could have sustained this program at a viable level,” said Lori Goldberg, coordinator of senior services for JF&CS. “The program allows many people who need only a little personal assistance to stay in their family homes where they feel comfortable and secure and keeps them from having to move prematurely.”
