JF&CS receives $500,000 bequest to establish Wolff Endowment Fund

Jewish Family & Children’s Service (JF&CS) announced it received a bequest of $500,000 to establish an endowment fund to be known as the Alan A. Wolff and Edith L. Wolff Endowment Fund. This bequest comes from the Estate of Edith L. Wolff, who passed away Dec. 26, 2008. The proceeds from the endowment will be used for the Harvey Kornblum Jewish Food Pantry and other JF&CS programs of JF&C.

L. Louis Albert, JF&CS Executive Director, said that Edith Wolf was “a strong supporter and trusted advisor on agency programs and community needs. She gave freely of her time, expertise and funds in both the Jewish and general communities.”

Over the years Edith Wolff was a frequent contributor to the Homemaker services program among others. The Homemaker program allows seniors or those living with disability to stay in their homes with the assistance of care in daily living.

Board President Fred Steinbach added, “We are so very grateful for wonderful women like Mrs. Wolff. She was very interested in helping people in need whenever she could. By establishing the fund her vision will continue into the future.”
