Jewish Family & Children’s Service (JF&CS) invites the community to participate in a fun-filled afternoon Harvest Festival to benefit the Harvey Kornblum Jewish Food Pantry at Eckert’s Farm, 2719 Eckert Lane in Millstadt, Ill.

 The 7th Annual “Feed the Pantry-Feed the Soul” event will take place noon to 4 p.m. on Sunday, Sept. 14.  Advance ticket prices are $10 for adults and $7 for children 12 and under. Children ages 2 and under are admitted for free.  Guests are asked to bring a donation bag of groceries. To purchase tickets, call 314-993-1000 or email [email protected].

The event ticket will provide access to all the activities at the farm, including a discount on each bag of apples picked. Refreshments, snacks and table seating will be in a specially marked tent for JF&CS guests, where they can enjoy a picnic lunch either purchased at the farm or brought from home. Among the activities planned for the afternoon is a country-themed mini amusement park with carnival rides, a petting corral, large jumping pillows, tractor rides, miniature golf, pig races and much more.
