JF&CS Hires Chief Development Officer

Jewish Family & Children’s Service has hired Laura Robbins as the agency’s Chief Development Officer. As CDO, Robbins will direct fundraising efforts and create a comprehensive development plan at JF&CS.

For the past decade, Robbins has worked in nonprofit fundraising and development. According to Robbins’ LinkedIn page, she served as director of development and membership at Congregation Temple Israel from May 2015 to September 2017 and previously worked at the Federal Reserve Bank of St. Louis and several nonprofit organizations in St. Louis.

In addition to working as CDO, Robbins is also currently pursuing her executive MBA at Washington University’s Olin Business School.

Robbins is married, has three children and lives in Webster Groves.

A news release notes that Robbins’ primary goal for 2018 is “to help implement JF&CS’ strategic and business plans and ensure alignment with the newly created development plan,” as well as getting to know the organization’s donors “and understand why they give so she can better tailor their fundraising efforts.”

“I feel passionate about the mission that JF&CS has and was drawn to the outstanding services we provide,” Robbins said in a news release. “Being a part of an agency that is providing quality social services to those regardless of their ability to pay right here in St. Louis is inspiring.”
