Jewish Light announces 2019 ‘Unsung’ honorees
Published April 4, 2019
Eight individuals and two groups will be recognized as the 2019 Jewish Light Unsung Heroes at 7 p.m. Wednesday, May 22 at the 560 Music Center, 560 Trinity Ave. in University City. This year marks the 10th anniversary of the event, which will also pay tribute to all previous heroes from the past decade.
Unsung Heroes shines a light on individuals of any faith who volunteer to help the St. Louis Jewish community, and Jewish St. Louisans who volunteer not only within the local Jewish community but also the community at-large. To date, more than 100 people have been honored as Unsung Heroes. This year’s event co-chairs are Faith Berger, Sheri Sherman and Janie Weiss.
This year’s Heroes are:
- Reva Davis
- B’nai Amoona Delmar Gardens West “Welcome the Shabbat” Volunteers
- Barbara Finch
- Karen Flotte
- Jeff and David Lazaroff (Brothers Lazaroff)
- Alice Ludmer
- Jennifer Rothman Mancuso
- Dr. Gary Ratkin
- Dr. Terry Weiss
- Julie Williams
