Jewish Film Festival announces short film competition

The St. Louis Jewish Film Festival is seeking participants for a new Short Film Competition. The deadline for letters of intent is Feb. 25, 2011, with an entry fee of $10. Students in sixth-grade through college-age and beyond are welcome (a professional category is also included)

Filmmakers should submit a short film, no more than 5 minutes in length, on the theme of “Repairing the World.” The filmmakers do not have to be Jewish to submit an entry.

Finished films need to be submitted by April 29, 2011 in order to be judged and prizes awarded in time for the June, 2011 St. Louis Jewish Film Festival where the winning films will be showcased.

Information about rules and instructions, as well as the letter of intent form, are available at www.stljewishfilmfestival.org. For more information, email Zelda Sparks, Director of the St. Louis Jewish Film Festival, at [email protected].
