Jewish Federation to launch a disability community survey

Jewish Federation of St. Louis’ Inclusion Initiative has created an online community survey that focuses on topics around disabilities and inclusion in the St. Louis Jewish community.

The goal of the survey is to collect data on areas of need as well as topics in which the Inclusion Initiative should focus on moving forward with its mission to promote full participation in Jewish life for individuals with disabilities and their families in the St. Louis Jewish community.

The online survey will be open until Dec. 31. To complete the survey, visit http://bit.ly/inclusion-survey, or go to the Inclusion Initiative’s webpage, http://bit.ly/jfed-inclusion.

The Jewish Community Inclusion Initiative’s mission is to promote full participation in Jewish life for individuals with disabilities and their families by enhancing inclusion, providing resources and collaborating with existing services in the St. Louis community.

Earlier this month, Jewish Federation of St. Louis received the Shine the Light Award from Paraquad for Federation’s work towards creating a welcoming and inclusive community. “We have accomplished a lot in the past two years but we know that there is much more that needs to be done. We are hoping that through this survey we will get a better understanding of the needs in areas such as employment, housing and training and prioritize our work moving forward based on the data and responses to this survey,” said Rinat Kisin, Inclusion Coordinator at Federation.
