Jewish Federation, Inclusion Initiative to offer mini-grants

There are many barriers to active participation of Jewish individuals with disabilities in the Jewish community. To help eliminate some of these barriers, Jewish Federation of St. Louis, in partnership with the St. Louis Jewish Community Inclusion Initiative, is introducing a new program in which Jewish agencies, congregations and Jewish schools may apply for mini-grants of up to $5,000 for inclusive programs within their community.

This first-time grant opportunity will allow Jewish organizations, schools and agencies to allow for more inclusion, thus creating an environment where all are welcome. Grants range from $200 to $5,000 for eligible programs and activities, including: building accessibility, technology, services support, staff training, student support, transportation and inclusive programs.

Funds cannot cover existing staffing salaries. All applicants must be 501c3 status nonprofit organizations. No individuals or for-profit business may apply. Applications are being accepted now through Feb. 27. Apply and get more information at jfedstl.org/inclusion/inclusion-mini-grant.
