Jewish Community Center unveils new Shalom Baby website

The JCC’s Helene Mirowitz Center of Jewish Community Life has launched the newly created Shalom Baby website, ww.shalombabystl.org, to inform new Jewish and interfaith parents about the Shalom Baby program and provide resources for young families throughout the community.  Shalom Baby, a program of the Jewish Community Center, is funded by the Lubin-Green Foundation, a supporting foundation of Jewish Federation of St. Louis.  Over 60 volunteers provide home visits to new babies and provide them with a free goody bag of gifts from partners in the community. The current chairperson of Shalom Baby is Batya Wertman.

In addition to the many resources provided on the site, there are also places to request a visit, sign-up to become a volunteer, learn more about the Jewish Holidays and find child-friendly places to visit around town.  The site will be kept up-to-date with information and links to synagogues, early childhood options, Tot Shabbat programs, parenting resources and other information for new parents. The site was designed by Kim Goldstone, President of Quinn-Parker Creative.
