Jewish Community Center plans Used Book Sale Feb. 5-9

The Jewish Community Center will hold a used book sale from Sunday, Feb. 5 through Thursday, Feb. 9 at the JCC’s Arts & Education Building, 2 Millstone Campus Drive in Creve Coeur.

Sunday, Feb. 5 is preview day—the only day with an admission charge ($10)—from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.

From Monday through Wednesday, the sale is open from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 9 is Bag Day—visitors can fill a bag for $5 and hours are 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Book lovers, collectors and avid readers all anticipate this annual event. Thousands of titles will be available from a variety of genres—including mystery and intrigue, novels, biographies, politics, religion, sports, cookbooks, history, animals, art, science, science fiction, business, women’s issues, foreign languages, gardening, poetry, psychology, self-help and humor.

Parents and educators will find a large selection of books for children and youth as well as educational materials for home schoolers. Multiples of titles are available for book club reading along with miscellaneous videos, books on tape/CDs and DVDs.

The opening day $10 fee helps underwrite expenses for the sale. Books are priced from 50 cents to $3. Special books-collectibles, art books, antique books-are priced as marked. Ticket sales begin at 9 a.m. Sunday, Feb. 5. Children 16 and under are free. There is no cost to shop the remaining days of the book sale.
