Jewish Attention to Mental Illness plans session on stress

JAMI-StL, Jewish Attention to Mental Illness-Mental Health, now in its fourth year, is dedicated to taking on the difficult issues occasioned by mental illness and mental health, with special emphasis on the Jewish community.

In this sixth community forum, JAMI will discuss the triggers of stress and anxiety in mental health through a program called: Managing Stress, Reaching In Letting Go, Breathe with Rabbis Susan Talve and James Goodman.

The session will take place on Sunday, Aug. 18 at the Kopolow Building of the Jewish Federation, 12 Millstone Campus Drive. Registration begins at 12:30 p.m., program begins at 1.

The free session will be directed by Rabbis Talve and Goodman, with guest presenters teaching natural remedies for relieving stress, lowering anxiety, including breath exercises, meditation, teachings, sacred story and music.
