JCRC’s ‘Bridging divides through interfaith initiatives,’ rescheduled
Published March 23, 2011
In a nation divided both politically and religiously, can local interfaith initiatives teach us anything about navigating polarizing, national trends? That’s the question that will be addressed during a presentation and panel response featuring Rabbi Steve Gutow, President and CEO of Jewish Council for Public Affairs (JCPA), and The Rev. Dr. Michael Kinnamon, General Secretary of National Council of Churches (NCC).
The discussion takes place from 7 to 8:30 p.m. Wednesday, April 6 in the Anheuser Busch Hall Bryan Cave Moot Courtroom at Washington University in St. Louis. A reception will follow the program, which is free and open to the public. The discussion was originally planned to take place in February, but was rescheduled due to weather.
The Jewish Community Relations Council’s Michael and Barbara Newmark Institute for Human Relations is coordinating the event, with support from Washington University’s Interfaith Campus Ministries Association with the following off campus groups: Aquinas Institute of Theology, Eden Theological Seminary, Interfaith Partnership/Faith Beyond Walls, and The St. Louis Rabbinical Association.
