JCRC sponsoring outerwear drive through Dec. 4

Continuing through Dec. 4, the Jewish Community Relations Council (JCRC) and its Bohm Social Justice Initiative are sponsoring an outerwear drive to benefit refugees recently relocated to the St. Louis area. Items donated will be donated to the International Institute of Saint Louis.  

Items can be dropped off at any of the following locations:

• JCRC, 12 Millstone Campus Dr.

• Jewish Community Center, both the Fox and Staenberg locations

• Bais Abraham Congregation, 6910 Delmar Blvd.

• Central Reform Congregation, 5020 Waterman Blvd.

• Congregation B’nai Amoona, 324 S. Mason Rd.

• Congregation Shaare Emeth, 11645 Ladue Rd.

• Kol Rinah, 829 N. Hanley Rd.

• Temple Emanuel, 12166 Conway Rd.

• Temple Israel, 1 Rabbi Alvan D. Rubin Dr.

• Traditional Congregation, 12437  Ladue Rd.

• United Hebrew Congregation, 13788 Conway Rd. 

• Young Israel of St. Louis, 8101 Delmar Blvd.

The outerwear drive is being held in cooperation with the Jewish Social Action Network (JSAN), a collaboration of St. Louis Jewish congregations encouraging engagement in social action programming and coordinating community-wide social action projects. JSAN is coordinated by the JCRC. 

Chairing the outerwear drive this year are Laura Goldmeier of B’nai Amoona and Iris Salsman of Traditional Congregation.  

The outerwear drive is one of the events sponsored by JCRC and its Bohm Initiative to celebrate Cheshvan, Jewish Social Action Month.
