JCRC plans panel discussion on crisis in the Arab world

A panel of experts will explore the issues and the implications of the turmoil in the Arab world during a discussion held by the Jewish Community Relations Council at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 15 at the Jewish Federation Kopolow Building, 12 Millstone Campus Drive.

The panel comprises:

• Professor Morris Kalliny of Saint Louis University’s John Cook School of Business, who has lived and worked in Egypt and Lebanon and has written extensively on the Arab cultural world, will address the situation in Egypt.

• Repps Hudson, former editorial writer for the St. Louis Post-Dispatch, currently a freelance journalist and adjunct professor of International Affairs at Washington University. Hudson, will address the implications for U.S. foreign policy.

• Professor Itai Sened, with the Department of Political Science and Director of the Center for New Institutional Social Sciences at Washington University, will focus on ramifications for Israel.
