Published January 22, 2009
The Jewish Community Center will be holding a “mini” Used Book Sale in January, 2009. The sale will be held in Steve’s Room at the Carlyn H. Wohl Building, 2 Millstone Campus Drive in Creve Coeur (Schuetz Road, one block west of Lindbergh Blvd.). The four-day sale will begin on Jan. 25 and it will end on Wednesday, Jan. 28.
The Sale will be open on Sunday from 10:00 am – 5:00 pm. During the week the hours are 10:00 am to 7:00 pm. Admission to the Book Sale is free and all books have been collected since the August 2008 Used Book Sale, there are not any remainders from earlier sales. The Used Book Sale has a variety of books in all categories and for all ages.
This year a special category for comic books has been created. We have collected hundreds of comic books, in mint condition, and we will be selling them for $1.00 each. Books are priced at $2.00 for hardcovers and Trade (large) paperbacks, $1.00 for children’s hardcover books and Mass Market (small) paperbacks and fifty cents for children’s paperback books.
The JCC will not be collecting used books while the Wohl Building is being renovated, February 2009 through March 2010. The sale and book collection will resume when the renovations are complete. For more information please contact Randi Poscover at 314-442-3281 or Zelda Sparks at 314-442-3169.
