JCC plans Israel Independence Day community celebration

Celebrate Israel’s 65th anniversary with an evening of entertainment, song, dance and fun at the Jewish Community Center’s Staenberg Family Complex Monday, April 15.  The Yom Ha’atzmaut community celebration begins when doors open at 5:30 p.m. with children’s activities, a photo booth, Israeli wine tasting, airbrush T-shirt art, an Israeli jewelry boutique as well as falafel and hot dogs for purchase.  Special performances by the local Israeli Scouts and others will start at 6:20 p.m.  

At 7 p.m. those present can participate in community singing followed by Israeli dancing, led by a visiting dance specialist.  At 8 p.m. the celebration will continue with a DJ party and more dancing.
