JCC plans charity golf tournament

On Monday, June 11, more than 125 golfers will tee up and “swing away for the J,” as the Jewish Community Center hosts its 28th Annual JCC Charity Golf Tournament at Meadowbrook Country Club. Presented by Missouri Professionals Mutual, the day will feature morning and afternoon golf times, contests, dinner and entertainment.
On-course competition includes hole-in-one opportunities to win $10,000 and a three-year Acura lease from Mungenast St. Louis Acura. When golfers reach the “Party at the Turn,” they’ll be treated to Ruth’s Chris sliders and “Delmargaritas” courtesy of Delmar Gardens.
As the sun sets, the entertainment takes the spotlight at a cocktails and dinner reception, including award presentation, raffle and a live auction for higher-end items such as a week-long stay at a Steamboat Springs, Colo. condo, custom-fitted Callaway golf clubs and a suite at a St. Louis Cardinals game.
Funds raised from the tournament help the J meet the needs of the community, including hot meals delivered to homebound seniors, scholarship assistance for day camp and early childhood programs and support for the JCC’s Adult Day Center.
