During December the St. Louis Jewish Community Center (JCC) will collect baseball equipment in helping further baseball activities and popularity in Israel. Items collected will be donated to the St. Louis Jewish community’s sister city of Yokne’am and the surrounding region of Megiddo.
Equipment that is needed includes youth baseball gloves (assorted sizes for ages 9-13), catcher’s gloves, set of bases (without anchors), baseball bats of assorted weights and sizes, Wiffle ® balls, practice baseballs (somewhat soft), game baseballs, batting helmets (assorted youth sizes), hitting/batting tees, equipment bags, and catcher’s gear. Donations will be accepted at either JCC location, the Carlyn H. Wohl Building or the Marilyn Fox Building, until Jan. 4. Batting cage coordinator Todd Stein can be contacted at 314-442-3492 or at [email protected] with any questions or for larger donations.
