The New Jewish Theatre’s Youth Theatre program will hold auditions from 1 to 5 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 20 at the Jewish Community Center’s Marilyn Fox Building, 16801 Baxter Road in Chesterfield. Third through 5^th graders will audition for “The Little Mermaid” and 6^th through 10^th graders will audition for “Guys & Dolls.” 

No experience necessary and all who audition are cast.  Rehearsals begin Jan. 27 and continue on Sundays from 2-5 p.m. at the Fox Building with a few rehearsals and all performances at the Staenberg Family Complex. “Guys & Dolls” will be performed April 11 and 14 and “The Little Mermaid” will be performed May 9 and 12. Registration fees are $235 for members of the J and $265 for non-members. Payment plans and scholarships are available.

Rehearsals for Theatre Kochavim’s “Goin’ Buggy” begin on Jan. 27 at the Marilyn Fox Building (2-3:25 p.m. for kindergarten students and 3:30-5 p.m. for 1^st and 2^nd graders). No audition is required. Rehearsal times shift to 2:30-4:30 p.m. for the entire cast beginning on March 3 or sooner, as needed. Performances are Thursday, March 21 and Sunday, March 24.  Registration fees are $150 for members and $175 for non-members.
