JCC Dinner Program offers holiday meals

Traditional kosher holiday dinners will be served at the JCC Dinner Program in the Covenant House I Dining Room on Erev Rosh Hashanah, Sept. 28, and Kol Nidre, Oct. 7. Both meals will be served at 4:30 p.m. to allow participants to attend services. The menu for Sept. 28 includes roast beef with kasha and shells, seasoned green beans amandine, Israeli salad, apples and honey, raisin challah and honey cake. The Oct. 7 menu will include matzo ball soup, oven fried chicken, oven browned potatoes, green beans with mushrooms, challah and peach shortcake. The meals are offered to those 60 and over for a $3.50 contribution and $8 for those under 60 and all are welcome.
