JCC Adult Day Center to host Alzheimer’s talk, open house

For the first time in more than 25 years, new criteria and guidelines for the diagnosis of Alzheimer’s Disease have been published. The Adult Day Center at the JCC has arranged for a free, public update about this research on September 21 at 7pm.

Dr. Nupur Ghoshal, MD, Ph.D., will discuss the latest research and guidelines and what they mean for individuals and families who may be dealing with memory changes. Dr. Ghoshal is a clinical researcher at the Memory and Aging Project, and a practicing neurologist at the Memory Diagnostic Clinic, both at the Washington University School of Medicine. Dr. Ghoshal will also provide an update on progress and trends in Alzheimer’s Disease research, and will take questions from attendees.

The Adult Day Center at the J is pleased to provide access to this timely information to the community. Afterward, all are invited to tour the Center and meet its expert staff. The ADC delivers a comprehensive full-day program for your loved ones in a loving and caring environment, and provides critical respite for caregivers.

There is no charge for the program, but attendees should make a reservation by contacting Pam Haines (314.442.3248 or [email protected]). Light refreshments will be served. The program is a collaboration of the Alzheimer’s Association, Elderlink St. Louis, St. Louis NORC and the Jewish Community Center.
