The Jewish Community Center invites the community to attend the Fox Family Picnic and Open House on Sunday, Oct. 8. The event will celebrate the 20th anniversary of the J’s Marilyn Fox Building in Chesterfield.

Guests can mingle with members, meet J staff, and enjoy activities for children of all ages, including a balloon artist, a magician, bubbles, sports and other games, as well as outdoor yoga, cycling and boot camp for older kids and adults.

The accessible playground will be open, and a firetruck is expected to stop by the event. Families are encouraged to come for lunch, as food truck fare and ice cream will be available for purchase. The event itself is free.

Join staff from the J’s Family Center, PJ Library and JSU in the sukkah for Torah writing with JSU’s Torah of Unity Campaign.

“In the past 20 years, the J has served thousands of families through our Early Childhood Center, Day Camps, swim lessons, sports and fitness in Chesterfield,” said Lynn Wittels, President & CEO of the J. “We are so grateful for the Fox Family’s vision and leadership gift that helped make the Marilyn Fox Building a reality. We hope everyone will come out to celebrate and say thanks.”

J staff will be available to conduct tours and consultations in the fitness center and the Early Childhood Center.

The event starts at noon and is free to attend. A detailed schedule of events is available at jccstl.com/picnic.
