J Associates plans Lip Sync Live

J Associates will hold its third annual Lip Sync Live fundraiser on March 10 at the Pageant.
The event features popular music interpreted and lip-synced by local community leaders. Local celebrity coaches have been working with these volunteers to choreograph a variety of acts for a night of fun and fundraising. Doors open at 6:30 p.m., with dinner catered by Tavolo V; performances begin at 7:45 p.m.
The evening will be emceed by St. Louis’ theater’s Ben Nordstrom, who also serves as director, producer and one of the coaches. The evening’s performers include: Dr. Robert Becker, Eric Cohen, Dr. Shari Cohen, Lisa Deutsch, Merle Fox, Gloria Kaufman, Wayne Kaufman, Todd Lazarus, Matt Litwack, Michael Lourie, Simcha Lourie, Cindy Oberkirsch, Karla Rosenblum, Joel Schwartz, Steve Starr, Jon Wagner, Corey Waldman, Evan Waldman, Mickey Waldman, Todd Waldman, Alvin Wolff and Judy Zafft.
Proceeds from the event are allocated to various departments of the Jewish Community Center and are used for a variety of scholarships and programming needs, including meals delivered to homebound seniors, Adult Day Center services, Theatre Unlimited (a program for adults with special needs), and scholarships for underprivileged children to attend the Early Childhood Center and J Day Camps.
