Israeli chess master to speak at event in St. Louis

Israeli chess Grand Master Boris Gelfand will present a special
lecture at the Chess Club and Scholastic Center on Sunday, July 17.
Gelfand will go over some of the games from the recent Candidate’s
Matches. His superb performance at the Candidate’s Matches a few
months ago earned him the right to challenge GM Viswanathan Anand for
the title of World Champion.
The lecture will take place at noon on Sunday, and the club, located at
4657 Maryland Avenue, will be open at 11:30 a.m., a half-hour early. The lecture will be free for chess club members. $12 for the general public.
