Congregation B’nai Amoona offers an “Introduction to Judaism” course on Thursday evenings from 7-8:30 p.m. in the Mendelson Library, beginning Oct. 4. This course is designed with three different types of student in mind: the person who was born Jewish but feels as if s/he would like to be better educated in Judaism; the person who was not born Jewish but may be interested in learning more about Judaism; the person who is interested in exploring Judaism for him/herself as a way of life.
Topics include Jewish customs, the calendar, life-cycle events, Jewish beliefs, the Jewish home, the Jewish community, Jewish history, Israel and a number of other subjects that are part of a well-rounded basic Jewish education.
The fee for this course is $36 for people not currently affiliated with B’nai Amoona. For those who are affiliated with the congregation, there is no tuition charge.
B’nai Amoona is located at 324 S. Mason Road in Creve Coeur.
