Holocaust Survivors and Descendants Group plans event for Hanukkah; new members welcomed

The St. Louis Holocaust Survivors & Descendants Group in partnership with the Holocaust Museum & Learning Center (HMLC) held a Hanukkah luncheon honoring all St. Louis Holocaust Survivors on Sunday, Dec.17th at JCC Staenberg Family Complex Adult Day Center. The luncheon was graciously sponsored by Michael and Carol Staenberg.  Over 90 Holocaust survivors, descendants and members of the HMLC leadership gathered to see old friends, enjoy lively conversation, Klezmer music by Will Soll (sponsored by Gloria Feldman) and tasty food. The St. Louis Holocaust Survivors and Descendants Group will hold a Hanukkah party from noon to 2:30 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 22 at Jewish Federation’s Kaplan Feldman Complex, 12 Millstone Campus Drive. The group is also actively seeking new members — Holocaust survivors, their children, grandchildren and other family members are welcomed. Past programs have included films, speakers, events and “opportunities to find the best of the old world and the new world,” according to the group.
