Hebrew Crash Course to be offered in preparation for the High Holiday

Chabad of Chesterfield will be offering a Hebrew Reading Crash Course from 7 to 8:30 p.m. on Sept. 10, 13 and 20. The course is designed to teach those with little or no basic knowledge of the Hebrew language how to read it in three short classes.

The course focuses on teaching the Hebrew alphabet and reading skills. In three, 90-minute long sessions, participants learn to read Hebrew and follow along in a prayer book. All students will receive a Hebrew primer and CD, which will enable them to practice reading at home. By the end of the course, students will be noticeably more at ease reading the basic prayers in Hebrew.

Classes will take place at 1815 Clarkson Road in Chesterfield. The cost of the three-week course is $150 per person. No one will be turned away because of lack of funds. For details and to register, visit www.ChabadOfChesterfield.com or email [email protected].
