Hadassah doctor to discuss Israel’s entrepreneurial successes

Jewish Federation of St. Louis will welcome Dr. Eithan Galun for a discussion of recent achievements and advancements at Hadassah Medical Organization through healing, teaching and research. The talk, part of Federation’s SH’MA: Listen! Speaker Series, takes place at 5:45 p.m. Monday, Jan. 11 at the Jewish Community Center Staenberg Family Complex, 2 Millstone Campus Dr. in Creve Coeur (registration opens at 5:15 p.m.). 

Galun will draw from draw from entrepreneurial stories in the Bible to tell a larger story of modern Israel and its history as a global leader in successful entrepreneurship. 

Galun directs of the Goldyne Savad Institute of Gene Therapy at Hadassah Medical Center in Jerusalem. He also serves as Chief Medical Officer of Theravir Management, Ltd. and was the principal investigator in a Medgenics’ clinical trial. He is an author of eight patents and is one of Israel’s leading researchers of liver diseases and gene therapy. Galun is an associate professor of medicine in the Hebrew University Hadassah Medical School.
