Members of the community have planned a grassroots pro-Israel community rally at 1:30 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 8 at LaVerne Collins Park in Creve Coeur (near the corner of Olive Boulevard and Old Olive Street Road). The rally is planned as a response to the recent terror attacks on Israelis and as a sign of support of the people of Israel.
Between Oct. 1 and Nov. 2 of this year, terrorist attacks have killed 11 Israelis and wounded 153, according to Israel’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs. The attacks have included 58 stabbings, five shootings and six car ramming incidents.
Similar rallies have recently been held in in North American cities such as New York, Los Angeles Miami and Toronto, as well as abroad, in Paris, Madrid, Rome, Amsterdam, Buenos Aires, Kiev and Sri Lanka. The St. Louis rally will be a family-friendly event, with speakers, music and food from Kohn’s Kosher Deli available for purchase. The public is invited to attend.
