Nominations are now being accepted for Jewish Federation’s 2011 David N. and Roselin Grosberg Young Leadership Award. The annual award recognizes key players in the Jewish community under 40 years of age. These pioneering leaders must be active in Jewish Federation and the St. Louis Jewish and general communities. The award will be presented at Jewish Federation’s Annual Meeting at 6 p.m. Wed., Sept. 14 at the Jewish Community Center Arts & Education Building.
Deadline for submissions is Fri., Aug. 12. Visit www.jewishinstlouis.org/Grosberg for the nomination form and criteria.
Brad Gross and Stacy Oberman Siwak received the prestigious award last year. Gross is serving as chair of this year’s Selection Committee.
Both of last year’s recipients are committed to the growth of the local Jewish community and were nominated by fellow community members: rabbis, past recipients, Federation Board members, agencies, or individuals. Winners receive a stipend to fund continuing education opportunities such as a conference or mission.
The Grosberg Award was established as an endowment by Peggy Ross’s uncle Dave Myers (her mother’s brother) who was president of the Jewish Federation of Cleveland (Ohio). Created as the David N. Grosberg Young Leadership Award, it was renamed the David N. and Roselin Grosberg Young Leadership Award in 1993.
