Federation offers mental health first aid training

Jewish Federation is offering free Mental Health First Aid training for staff in local Jewish community agencies from 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. on two Fridays, Oct. 19 and 26, at the Jewish Federation Kopolow Building, 12 Millstone Campus Drive. The purpose of the training, which is being provided by Behavioral Health Response, is to teach participants how to assess a situation, select and implement appropriate intervention and help a person who is in crisis or developing signs and symptoms of a mental illness.

Behavioral Health Response is a professionally staffed, technologically sophisticated, accredited clinical call center. Jewish Federation has allocated special funds for this training.
