Epstein to launch crowd-funding campaign with 4x matching donations

Epstein Hebrew Academy will hold a 24-hour online crowd-funding campaign through the website Charidy.com, and donations will be quadruple-matched. Epstein’s “Chanukkah Charidy Campaign” (online at www.charidy.com/eha) begins at 4 p.m. Dec. 4 and the school’s goal is to raise $400,000.
This is the school’s first online crowd-funding campaign, and Epstein has secured benefactors who will allow donations to have four times the impact through a quadruple match.
“We are excited to partner with Charidy.com, the premiere crowd-funding source for the Jewish world, to help us reach the broader St. Louis community, family and alumni,” said Rabbi Yaakov Green, EHA Head of School. “Monies raised from campaign will make it possible for every student to attend, regardless of their financial situation and enable continued investments in our curriculum.”
EHA Fundraising Campaign Chair Caroline Goldenberg stressed the importance of supporting Jewish education.
“Jewish education is a critical component to the strength of our Jewish community. I look forward to parents, friends and students of EHA coming together on Dec. 5th.”
Dr. Mark Friedman, a parent at EHA, encouraged the wider Jewish community to participate.
“Just as I give to my medical school to ensure great doctors continue to fill our hospitals, I encourage all Jews to give to EHA, supporting the next generation of steadfast, commitment and knowledgeable Jewish leaders for years to come.”
The campaign will be live at Charidy.com/EHA beginning at 4 p.m. on Dec. 4 for a 24-hour window.
