Epstein Hebrew Academy will pay tribute to three parents for their volunteer service with the school — Vicki Isakow, Lizzy Kline and Suzanne Sundy — during Epstein’s Annual Scholarship Banquet on Sunday, Feb. 9 at NEO on Locust, 2801 Locust Street. The superhero-themed event begins with cocktails at 6 p.m. and continues with a program and elaborate dinner buffet at 6:30.
“I can’t think of a more deserving group of people to honor at this time,” said Rabbi Avi Greene, Epstein’s head of school.
“Our three super volunteers have shown remarkable enthusiasm, dedication and generosity to our school by offering their unending creativity and energy to our school community,” he said. “We are truly lucky to have such role models in our midst.”
Between them, the Isakow, Kline and Sundy families have 10 children in the school.
The school will present the Samuel Cherrick Com-munity Service Award to Greene in appreciation for his four years of service and commitment to the school. Greene will step down as head of school at the end of the school year.
This year’s scholarship banquet is chaired by Aviva Needle and Debby Schuman.
The cost of the event is $125 per person, with advanced RSVPs required. All proceeds benefit the school’s scholarship fund.
