H. F. Epstein Hebrew Academy of St. Louis has hired native St. Louisan Rachel (Milder) Lubchansky as Director of Admissions and Communications to lead its overall rebranding strategy. This is a new position for the school, and Lubchansky was sought out for the job based on her professional experience and her commitment to and knowledge of St. Louis’ Jewish community.
“We are extremely excited to have Rachel Lubchansky as part of our administration. We think that she will bring a verve and pizzazz to the school. Her background and experience in communication and integrated marketing make her a great match for Epstein,” said Rabbi Avi Greene, Head of School.
Lubchansky’s responsibilities include communicating with prospects and handling school tours, developing and implementing marketing initiatives and communications collateral, engaging community through social media, redesigning and maintaining a new school website and executing public relations programs. Her primary goals are to increase enrollment, strengthen the school’s visual presence, increase its reputation within the broader Jewish community and help showcase programs and student accomplishments within the school.
“I am delighted to be part of the Epstein Administration,” says Lubchansky. “It’s a wonderful, vibrant place where kids are challenged by an impressive dual curriculum, and learn the importance of having strong middot (character traits). My passion for this community has led me to this position, and I couldn’t be happier about being involved on a level that can effect positive change for our children.”
Lubchansky received her bachelor’s of science degree in integrated marketing communications from the Fashion Institute of Technology in New York City in 2000. She previously held numerous positions in marketing and public relations in the fashion industry; owned, operated and subsequently sold her own e-boutique; and is an active community volunteer. She currently resides in University City with her husband and children, three-year-old triplets.
