The St. Louis Jewish Light is partnering with the Jewish Telegraphic Agency to bring you an opportunity to hear from five remarkable Israeli authors at this pivotal moment in Israel’s history and at a discount.
In each of these five intimate, probing, meaningful conversations, we’ll discuss what it’s like to be a writer in Israel now, what each author’s work reflects about contemporary Israel, and what this moment means for their work, and Israeli literature as a whole.
With the special sensitivities that true artists possess, these distinguished and popular Israeli writers will offer their observations on one of the most dangerous and significant moments in Israel’s history.
These sessions — featuring celebrated authors Zeruya Shalev, Iddo Gefen, Hila Blum, Roee Chen, and Noa Yedlin — will offer new windows into the life of Israelis now and fresh insights into what it means to create as an Israeli artist today.
We look forward seeing you on November 9th at 12:00 pm CST for the first session.
