Creating connections through social media

Miriam Brosseau, social media coach and strategist, will present “Creating Connections Through Social Media” on Tuesday, Aug. 18. She will discuss how social media is transforming the way we build community, including ways online networks help organizations move beyond institutional borders. The discussion will include new “rules” of the digital age and how these platforms can be maximized for meaningful and lasting connections.

The morning session will take place from 8–9:30 a.m. at RubinBrown, 1 N. Brentwood Boulevard in Clayton, and is targeted to board members from throughout the community. The mid-day session will take place from 11:30 – 1:30 p.m. at Jewish Federation of St. Louis Kopolow Building, 12 Millstone Campus Drive, and is geared to professionals through JProStl.

Brosseau is director of engagement for See3 Communications and educational director for EliTalks.com. A social media professional by day, by night she is the lead singer of the “biblegum pop” band Stereo Sinai. While in St. Louis, Brosseau will also be working with Jewish Federation of St. Louis’ Millstone Fellows and Nishmah: The St. Louis Jewish Women’s Project of the JCC.
