‘A Taste’ satisfies curiosity
Congregation Shaare Emeth will present “A Taste of Judaism: Are You Curious?” on three successive Wednesday evenings: April 26, May 3 and May 10 from 7-8:30 p.m. at 11645 Ladue Road in Creve Coeur. The three sessions will discuss how Judaism addresses prayer, the bible and morals/ethics. There is no fee for the program, but reservations are required by Monday, April 24. A one-woman show, In Sarah’s Voice will be presented by Kathleen Sitzer, artistic director of the New Jewish Theater, at the Saul Brodsky Jewish Community Library’s annual Friends of the Library program at 7:30 p.m., Thursday, April 27, at the library in the Federation Kopolow Building, 12 Millstone Campus Dr. Admission is free to members of the Friends of the Library and $6 for the general public. The Jewish Federation of Southern Illinois, Southeast Missouri and Western Kentucky is happy to announce a reception and dinner in honor of the Glik Family at 5:30 p.m. Sunday, May 7 at the Sheraton Hotel in Clayton. NCJW honors Gianino
The National Council of Jewish Women-St. Louis Section will present Paula Gianino, president and CEO of Planned Parenthood of the St. Louis Region, with the 2006 Hannah G. Save Darfur Coalition
The Jewish Community Relations Council is coordinating the Call To Action — Vigil for Darfur at 6:30 p.m. May 10 at the steps of the Missouri History Museum. Jerry Fowler of the United States Holocaust Memorial Museum will speak at 7 p.m. in the musum’s Marcella Wiget Macdermott Grand Hall.
