The Jewish Community Center’s (JCC) Theatre Chaverim will present Disney’s Aladdin Junior at 7 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 14, and at 4:30 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 17, at the Carlyn H. Wohl building, 2 Millstone Campus Drive in Creve Coeur. Tickets are $6 per ticket for JCC members and $8 per ticket for non-members. Jewish Prison Outreach plans open forum at JF &CS
Jewish Prison Outreach will hold an open forum from 7 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 12, at Jewish Family & Children’s Service, 10950 Schuetz Road. The session will discuss needs, concerns and options and will gather suggestions for future programs from anyone who has been incarcerated or who has a loved one incarcerated. Hanukkah celebration scheduled at Schnucks
A Hanukkah singing presentation and storytelling for children will be featured at the annual Hanukkah Celebration to be held 6:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 13, at Schnucks Ladue Crossing shopping center, I-170 at Ladue Road. Modern genetics and Jewish genealogy to be topic

Learner’s Shabbat prayer service set for Bais Abraham
Bais Abraham will present a new learners’ service from 9:15 a.m. to 10:15 a.m. on the third Shabbat of each month beginning Dec. 18. Rabbi Hyim Shafner will lead the service.
Jewish Community Center will hold auditions
The Jewish Community Center’s Theatre Chaverim group will hold auditions for its upcoming shows on Sun., Jan. 7 from 2 to 5 p.m. Auditions will be held at the Marilyn Fox Building, 16801 Baxter Road, Chesterfield. Students in grades six through eight can try out for Disney’s High School Musical. Students grades three through five can audition for Treasure Island. Adult education program scheduled
Rabbi Ephraim Zimand will partner with Rabbi Joshua Taub of Temple Emanuel for this year’s Adult Education Presentations. Rabbi Zimand will give presentations at Temple Emanuel on Maimonides on Character, on Monday evenings, March 5, 12 and 19. Rabbi Taub will give presentations at Traditional Congregation on Sex in the Text: Sexuality in the Biblical Narrative on Wednesday evenings, April 11, 18 and 25.
