Clergy gather for public menorah lighting in response to attacks

More than 50 people attended a public menorah lighting on the fourth night of Hanukkah Dec. 9 on Delmar Boulevard in University City. Speakers included Rabbi Yosef Landa, director of Chabad of Greater St. Louis; Rabbi Jim Bennett, president of the St. Louis Rabbinical Association; University City Mayor Shelley Welsch; and Rev. C. Jessel Strong of the African Methodist Episcopal Church.
