Child abuse prevention workshop for parents planned for March 24

A variety of Orthodox congregations, schools and organizations are sponsoring a “Safety Kid” workshop on preventing child abuse, at 7:30 p.m. Monday, March 24, at Nusach Hari B’nai Zion, 650 N. Price Road in Olivette.

The program, presented by Magen Yeladim International, includes discussions on parents’ roles and responsibilities regarding the safety of their children. Parents will learn tools to help their children understand safe behavior and encourage open communication about sensitive issues. The event is open to the community. The parent workshop is one element of a multipart program that includes training sessions for the faculty and administration of Epstein Hebrew Academy and Torah Prep School, as well as workshops for students.

The program is sponsored by Epstein Hebrew Academy, Torah Prep School, Young Israel, Agudas Israel, U. City Shul, Tpheris Israel Chevra Kadisha, Nusach Hari B’nai Zion, Bais Abraham, Chabad of St. Louis, the Vaad Hoeir, and Tots through Teens Pediatrics.
