Chabad course explores lessons in character from Biblical stories

This month, Chabad will offer a six-week Rohr Jewish Learning Institute course on “Strength and Struggle: Lessons in Character from the Stories of Our Prophets.” Participants can choose from two locations for the course:

• The Lazaroff Chabad Center, 8124 Delmar Blvd. in University City, where Rabbi Yosef Landa will lead the course on Tuesdays at 7 p.m. starting May 17

•  Pepose Vision Institute, 1815 Clarkson Road in Chesterfield, where Rabbi Avi Rubenfeld will lead the course on Wednesdays at 7:30 p.m. starting May 18.

“Strength and Struggle is a journey in which we gain insight into our own struggles by examining the lives of inspiring biblical heroes and antiheroes,” said Landa, of Chabad of Greater St. Louis. “For many, it will fill an important gap in knowledge in the area of biblical history, and it provides fascinating wisdom from the Talmud and 3000 years of Jewish literature, to help them deal with life’s struggles on the road to becoming more effective people.”

Strength and Struggle is designed to appeal to people at all levels of Jewish knowledge, including those without any prior experience or background in Jewish learning. Interested students may call 314-725-0400 or visit myJLI.com for registration and for more information.
