Chabad at Mizzou events for start of fall semester planned

Chabad at Mizzou has announced a variety of events to kick off the fall semester at the University of Missouri-Columbia. On Wednesday, Aug. 21, Chabad will host a welcome barbecue at 6 p.m. Chabad will also offer free home cooked Shabbat dinners every Friday night, starting Aug. 23.
Chabad will unite with Hillel, and AEPi, for a joint barbecue, hosted on Sunday, Aug. 25 at the Alpha Epsilon Pi (AEPi) Fraternity, 901 Maryland Avenue in Columbia.
In preparation for the High Holidays, Chabad at Mizzou will hold its Shofar Factory — a hands-on class to learn about the shofar — on Aug. 27.
On Aug. 28 there will be a Kabbalah class, with a lecture on the meaning of Rosh Hashanah from a Kabbalistic perspective.
