Center for Israel Education plans Annual Educator Workshop

Registration fee waived for groups of 3 or more

The Center for Israel Education has learned that its annual enrichment workshop on modern Israel works best when schools, synagogues, youth groups and other local and national organizations send teams of educators to learn together.

So for CIE’s 21st annual summer workshop, to be held online July 24 to 26, the center is providing an incentive for groups: Registration is free for cohorts of three or more from one institution. The registration fee otherwise is $150.

The free-for-three offer encourages, for example, Jewish day schools to send administrators and secular studies teachers as well as Judaic teachers to expand skills on implementing content into a curriculum that incorporates aspects of Israel across subjects and grade levels.

The educator enrichment workshop offers sessions that build a comprehensive understanding of modern Israel’s history, politics, economy, society and culture and that provide tools and tips for curriculum development and classroom experiences.

Sessions will be held from 11 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. (Eastern time) all three days and from 7 to 8:30 p.m. the first two nights. CIE will make video recordings available to registered participants. Registration and more details are available at israeled.org/workshop.
