The Brothers Lazaroff band’s January performances on Tuesday nights to support Joe’s Café are moving to The Dark Room, 3610 Grandel Square, in the Grand Center Arts District. Local Jewish musicians David and Jeff Lazaroff began a four-week residency earlier this month to help pay for needed repairs at Joe’s Café, a neighborhood listening room near the Delmar Loop. That venue is now closed temporarily, pending resolution of permit issues with the city of St. Louis.
The “Bros for Joe’s” series, a single 80-minute set by the Brothers Lazaroff, will continue at The Dark Room on Tuesday, Jan. 23 and Jan. 30 beginning at 7:30 p.m. Tickets take the form of a “pay what you can” donation, and are available here. Anyone who previously purchased a ticket for the remaining January concerts at Joe’s Café can use them at the new venue.
The Lazaroffs credited the Kranzberg Arts Foundation for making the Dark Room available for the completion of the January residency.
