Show Stoppers of St. Louis, an all-volunteer, amateur cast of 40 singers and dancers, will debut its latest musical review Saturday, Aug. 24 at 7 p.m. This will be the first of four performances, the other three being Sunday, Aug. 25 at 2 p.m.; Saturday, Sept. 7 at 7 p.m. and Sunday, Sept. 8 at 2 p.m. All performances are at Clayton High School, #1 Mark Twain Circle.
Net proceeds from these performances will be donated to Barnes-Jewish Foundation for the Siteman Cancer Center.
This year’s show is titled: “From the Broadway Heartland to the Heart of Love.” The first act, “Broadway Heartland,” will highlight songs from Pump Boys & Dinettes, The Music Man, Will Rogers Follies and Big River. The second act, which will be cabaret style, will feature Broadway love songs with a tribute to the late Burt Bacharach and Stephen Sondheim and also including Neil Diamond, Cole Porter, Marc Shaiman, Irving Berlin and more.

Show Stoppers was organized in 1996 by Marian “Babe” Rosenberg who produced and directed each annual show until her death in 2014. This show is being produced and directed by Sue Rockamann and Robb Kennedy with musical director Chris Peterson and dance director Mary Fedak. Donations to BJC Foundation for Siteman Cancer Center over the years have now totaled more than $100,000.
