The St. Louis Jewish Book Festival has a new event planned, taking place this week and featuring a noted St. Louis chef.

Renowned Annie Gunn’s chef Lou Rook will discuss his book, “Rook Cooks: Simplicity at its Finest,” at 7:30 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 17 at the Jewish Community Center Staenberg Family Complex’s Arts & Education Building, 2 Millstone Campus Drive.  

The cost of the event is $15 and includes kosher versions of recipes for sampling. There will be a drawing for lunch at Annie Gunn’s and a signed copy of his book.  Copies of Rook’s cookbook will be available for purchase at the event for $35.
